Project Description
Karrinyup Shopping Centre
Location: Karrinyup, WA
Client: Multiplex
Com-al Windows has been extensively involved in the re-development of the Karrinyup Shopping Centre which saw the opening of its first phase in July, 2021.
The $800 million re-development of the Karrinyup Shopping Centre commenced in late 2018 with our employees beginning works on site in mid-2019 working with the builder of the development – Multiplex.
Karrinyup Shopping Centre expanded its size from approximately 57,000 square metres to 113,000 square metres.
Com-Al Windows provided its own Com-Al Windows 150mm x 50mm front glazed systems with 10.76mm Clear Low E Heat-strengthened glass to achieve the thermal, acoustic and aesthetic requirements of the project.
Bifold doors were used to provide a seamless indoor and outdoor perspective to allow shoppers to experience the full entertainment and dining experience.
In addition to this, the Reynaers CW60 stick system was used in the main entry to achieve the spans and seamless look with 33.14mm Double Glazed Units all with Low E coatings.
Dormakaba Automatic Doors were installed throughout the project including the internal toilet facilities and also at the main access routes into and out of the shopping centre.
Pebble windows provide a technically challenging install but a unique perspective and aesthetic look on the building.
The second phase is due to open later this year in October, 2021.
