Com-AL Windows has completed the first stage of the Joondalup Health Campus expansion.

Com-AL Windows are proud to be involved with the Multiplex Team to bring health infrastructure solutions to the Government of Western Australia.

Multiplex Constructions Pty Ltd is the appointed Early Contractor Involvement contractor.

 

Com-Al has a long-standing history of Hospital projects with Multiplex providing Commercial Glass and Commercial Window Systems that are cost-effective, engineered, and delivered in a timely manner.

 

Com-AL Windows has successfully completed with Multiplex the Karratha Health Campus a few years ago and this project included specialist cyclonic glass, cyclonic auto doors, cyclonic rated window extrusion, and door systems, fully tested at a NATA approved facility in Sydney.

 

Com-AL Windows will develop commercial aluminum extrusion window systems to suit your requirements including the testing of commercial toughened laminated glass, double glazed units and any debris testing required.

 

Over the last few years, Com-AL Windows has been involved in many Hospital Projects including the Perth Children’s Hospital, Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital Ward 16C Redevelopment we are also currently on 61Fifty in the Fiona Stanley Murdoch Hospital Precinct.

Com-Al Windows specialize in the design, manufacture, and installation of commercial glass and cyclonic, aluminum window, door, and curtain walling systems. Com-AL Windows continuously develop commercial aluminum window extrusion systems to remain at the cutting edge of contemporary design trends.

 

At Joondalup Health Campus the construction of the new 12-bay expanded emergency department is now completed. This expansion will increase the hospital’s capability to safely manage patients with infectious diseases, including COVID-19.

 

Construction is also well underway to expand the capacity of the multi-storey staff car park by an additional 215 parking bays.

 

The McGowan Government is investing more than $1.3 billion over the next four years into health infrastructure, including major hospital redevelopments and expansions across the State.

 

This includes works at Joondalup Health Campus, Fremantle Hospital, Bunbury Regional Hospital, Peel Health Campus, Geraldton Health Campus, Laverton Hospital, Tom Price Hospital, Newman Health Service and more.

 

The full expansion of Joondalup Health Campus comprises of:

  • a new mental health building including 30 new acute mental health inpatient beds;
  • 12 emergency department beds;
  • 90 inpatient beds in a design to meet future demand;
  • six new Coronary Care beds;
  • a new theatre;
  • a Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory (Cath Lab);
  • one specialised clinic to operate as a Behavioural Assessment Urgent Care Clinic;
  • increased parking bays; and

 

  • upgrades to associated services (including Central Energy Plant, Central Sterilising Services Department, Biomedical Engineering Department and Stores Area).
